At the young age of 21, I attended Indaba in Cape Town with the likes of Peter Cook, Karl Simich, Miles Kennedy and Robert Champion ( aptly named ) de Crespigny. Watching Cooky's excitement following the sale of Hill 50 to Harmony ( the first of 3 deals ) and getting to know these doyens cemented my view that Mining was definitely the place for me. Fast forward 25 years and this incredible industry continues to fascinate me. Gold is $4120 today which Pierre Lassonde predicted ( and nobody believed ) Catalyst Metals incidentally run by James de Crespigny, has moved from 46c to $3.40 in the last 12 months, Regis is up from $1.60 - $2.60 in the last quarter, similarly Genesis, OraBanda - they are all flying. Ora Banda is climbing towards $1 from 25c and has a current market cap of $1.8B. Incredible! A year ago these gains were all reflected in Lithium stocks and nobody wanted to know about Gold.
My employer, MAU, has doubled in the last year and continues to grow, all based on an exploration discovery from a tiny junior looking in the right spot near some majors. A 12c stock with a market cap of $18M which is now $350M and moving into the development phase. Mining - love it, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. #gold #exploration #development

Fuchsite! Pronounced ‘foo site’ generally the rock is black and then as it alters it becomes grey hence core samples often look greyish in colour the green is a fantastic indicator of gold, in particular super high grade gold - word for the day fuchsite!! #GOLD
