The Group *acquired* a majority stake in *Mohun Bagan Football*.

While another Kolkata Giant is thriving with 4 finals across various leagues, the youth team of ATKMBSG is nowhere close. And they don't even have a women's team.

Have reiterated this before, Kolkata has the appetite and potential for 4 clubs playing at the same time in the same league.

And no, mergers don't help. Two clubs can't have one identity. Legacy clubs exist, but that doesn't necessarily imply that a new legacy cannot be created.

Legacy of a club needs to be created, and it needs to be given time. The traditional giants are respected as the greats of Indian football, but the latest footballing landscape demands the hype & appeal to young audience, which ATK did.

ATK was trolled for it's lack of fanbase and it's fans were cited as the amalgamation of MB & EB fans supporting a new club.

True to some extent, but ATK did develop a fanbase. Fans that were young, and who would eventually create the legacy of a club.

The fanbase views the club as Manchester City instead of Manchester United, wherein throwing money is only solution for a club's success.

Reiterating this again: Kolkata is a Football giant, and has the appetite for multiple football clubs.
