“The Deserter” is easily one of my fav episodes of Book 1. Not only does it introduce, Jeong Jeong, one of the most interesting characters in the show, but we get to see Avatar Roku again and learn the Fire Nation’s philosophy behind firebending.

So many good lines and moments.

I’ve seen people really criticizing Aang’s actions in “Bato of the Water Tribe”. Claiming he was acting out of character, but you gotta remember he’s still a kid and the only living member of his people. With Sokka and Katara being his new family, ofc he’ll be overprotective.
