First session since college was yesterday. It was great, and a scene was immortalized by our warlock. Apparently Warlock’s don’t like their patrons speaking in their heads. At least this one had some manners.
Rookie Tip #11 Breathe life into your characters because through them, the story is born and lives. Adventure is made exciting because of roleplaying, and the adventure is personal with roleplaying.
DM: The blinded villain is trying to reload his weapon.
Our other Sorcerer: I cast Fire Bolt.
DM: Roll damage plus 2d6 from his gunpowder horn exploding.
Sorcerer: 22
DM: Yeah, his face just got blown off. He’s dead.

DM: The villain gives this incredible monologue about how great he is.
Our Sorcerer: I cast Light to blind him.
DM: [rolls dice] He is blinded. He is now talking to the wall.
@Usermalfunction
DM: The divination pool requires a sizeable sacrifice.
Our Bard: Can we cut off our Barbarian’s arm and replace it with his greataxe?
DM: Roll a Medicine Check
Our Bard, Cleric, and Paladin: 31 from our combined rolls.
Our Barbarian now:
DM: You are sneaking into an orc camp, what do you do?
Our Rogue: I’ll sneak over to the chest in the middle of the camp.
Our Assassin: I’ll sneak around the entire camp and push the orc off a cliff Sparta style.

DM: The angry god is lunging for you.
Our Charismatic Assassin: I’d like to convince him this hammer is worth more than his life.
DM: Roll Deception.
Assassin: Nat 20!
DM: He is convinced. Congratulations. You ruined the final boss fight.
