Albion’s last FA Cup tie at the Goldstone – a replay against Sudbury Town – was lost 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out.

Sudbury’s goalkeeper, Steve Mokler, bagged the winning spot-kick.

North Stand roof was unveiled, for a 0-0 draw with Barnsley. First 1,000 entrants were given a free foam hand - FA Cup final leftovers.

The game was so poor manager Chris Cattlin fined himself a week’s wages!

After two long years playing home games at Gillingham, Albion were finally back in Brighton. Withdean Stadium welcomed N Forest for the inaugural friendly.

The players arrived on an open-top bus as the Brighton Silver Band played GOSBTS.
