If you CHOOSE to be a fitness coach you should care about people’s health and well-being.
🚩RED FLAGS IN COACHES🚩
Don’t set communication expectations
When you ask questions says “because I said” or discourages q’s
Ghosts you💀
They say “just try harder”
The older I get, the more I realize the value of staying low key, of cultivating your circle and only letting certain people in. You can be open, honest, and real while still understanding not everyone deserves a seat at your table.
I believed I was never skinny enough or something was wrong with me b/c I didn’t look like the posed photos online.
I struggled with disordered eating and terrible body image for years b/c of all the things I didn’t know.
It’s exactly why I share m the messy parts of my journey.
Underrated what I wish I knew when I started my fitness journey many influencers edition:
• use steroids and diuretics and lie about it.
• struggle with disordered eating
• only post their highlight reels (posed or edited photos)
• don’t actually personalize programs
I share this because I WISH I knew this when I first got introduced to the fitness industry back in 2015. I had hired a coach who put me & everyone on their team on the same meal plan and workout program.
I KNEW I WAS
HEALING WHEN.
| enjoyed alone time
I set boundaries with people & stopped feeling guilty about it
I started taking care of my body
I was okay with being misunderstood
I prioritized things daily that supported my mental health
Ever noticed how the things that drive you crazy about others often mirror your own insecurities? It's a powerful reminder to confront our own flaws instead of projecting them onto others. #SelfReflection#PersonalGrowth
When did “he watched my story” turn into “he likes me” ?
If someone is actually interested in you they SHOULD:
Ask you out
Make an effort to speak to you
Tell you they’re interested in you
Raise the standards yall. The bar is too low
Dream Big
Meditate daily
Make your bed
Always give your best
Take care of your health
Treat others with a kind heart
Spread love in moments of fear
Be an inspiration for good
Trust your instincts
Love yourself
Rather than trying to slash your calories to as little as possible, aim for a moderate deficit.
Moderate deficit = more consistency + way less miserable. Aka more progress.
Don’t make the hard things harder than they have to be.
You’ve got this!
Keep thriving💙
Why many people lose weight when they start eating more.
The answer isn’t eat as little as possible.
A reason many people don’t lose weight when they’re “only eating 1100 calories” is because that’s often not all they’re eating.
We see it with MANY of our clients.
They start logging their food and realize how much they eat over the weekends or at night, typically because they’re freaking hungry.
Their 1,100 calories turns into maintenance or even a surplus.
