Indigenous peoples have been integral to Canada's history, with over 4,000 Indigenous individuals serving in the First World War from 1914 to 1918. Their skills as hunters made them exceptional marksmen and scouts, contributing significantly to the war effort.
We honour the immense contributions of Indigenous men and women who fought for our freedom. Their sacrifices helped shape the country we all live, work, and play in today, Canada.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the @YourAlberta and Minister @AdrianaLaGrange for the recently announced $42-million funding investment in primary health care across the province.
The Alex Community Health Centre is proud to be a recipient of this funding, which includes an allocation of $11.6 million which will enable us to expand our integrated, team-based care model & significantly enhance essential health supports for Calgary’s underserved populations.
