“My first pitch to the studio was that the whole movie would be Deadpool trying to steal the big red chair from The Voice.”

“They were like, ‘That’s just the dumbest thing ever.’”

“Later, when we pitched X-Force, the studio thought they were getting their own Avengers-style team.”

“I told them Brad Pitt was going to be in it.”

“They asked, ‘Which character?’”

“I said, ‘Vanisher.’”

“They asked, ‘What’s his power?’”

“I said, ‘He’s invisible and doesn’t speak.’”

“They were like, ‘Why is Brad Pitt doing this?’”

“I said, ‘Because you see him for about a quarter of a second… when he gets electrocuted to death.’”
