The casual and constant ageism in person and online is becoming pervasive and damaging, and has moved past joking into making people feel unwelcome. Probably half a dozen people have changed their attitude and opinion of me immediately after finding out my age. Fuck all of you.

Expected a fight when closing my accounts at a bank with fees if you go below $100 minimum balance. Lucked out with a kid my age who immediately whipped out the forms and said fuck it, "I totally get it I rarely have more than $100 in my account either"

Thinking a lot today about 19 year old #shamarbetts who was sentenced to 4 years and $1.5mil in restitution for posting a flyer to Facebook to organize a protest in the wake of George Floyd's murder. He had no priors and spent his summers as a counselor at a preschool day camp.
