Israeli authorities begin digging 170-meter trenches around a high-security wing of Ketziot Prison in southern occupied territories as part of a pilot project involving crocodiles, according to Yedioth Ahronoth.

The trenches are being built around a prison wing holding Gaza Strip detainees. The project follows a decision by Environmental Protection Minister Idit Silman to reclassify the Nile crocodile as a "domesticated wild animal," despite objections from ministry professionals.

Israel's National Security Ministry also confirmed the work has begun on channels intended for crocodiles.

The UK hasn't bothered to respond to it, despite numerous calls.

Britain also still allows trade with those illegal settlements.

Declassified recently revealed that an Israeli group, Shivat Zion, was helping Britons move to an illegal settlement, and was photographed at an event in London. This group has not been sanctioned.

Despite an expansion of illegal settlements, which the ICJ said must cease, the UK stills trades and and invests with Israel.

Sanctions have not even been put on Benjamin Netanyahu who is overseeing the expansion of illegal settlements and who is also wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes.
