May is #WomensHealthMonth. We use this month as a timely reminder that women's health is best served when their care is tailored to their unique medical needs and concerns.

ArMA is dedicated to protecting women's health. Alongside more than 20 other healthcare organizations, ArMA led a coordinated grassroots effort to repeal the pre-statehood ban of pregnancy termination. Together, we sent over 55,000 letters in support of a repeal to legislators, and we were heard. While we celebrate this win, we keep an eye on the future, where challenges remain.

This Women's Health Month, we are grateful to those who join us in strengthening the communities we serve.

Breaking: The Arizona State Senate voted to repeal the 1864 ban on pregnancy terminations. Now, #HB2677 (abortion ban; repeal) will head to @GovernorHobbs, who is expected to sign it.

The Arizona Medical Association applauds legislators for uniting on an issue that deeply impacts patients and physicians. ArMA and more than 20 other healthcare organizations advocated for the repeal, which will protect the health, well-being, and lives of Arizona’s pregnant patients.
