So apparently in Gothic Remake, Tarrok, whom you save and become friends with in the original, now asks you to murder him for no reason after you save him and the main character is like "ok" because ChatGPT wrote this
@CosmicHorror637@ChrisDMott Well again, Capcom saw no value in them. It took years long negotiations for GOG to be able to rerelease them. Then there's stuff like renaming the originals and giving their proper name to the remakes, which just feels disrespectful, imo.
@Thatisdiffi I don't think it makes logical sense at all. Games are allowed, or used to be allowed, to be different. I think games are each a little piece of culture, not to just be consumed and discarded, so this kind of thing irks me incredibly. I know I'm in minority, it's just my 2 cents.
@CosmicHorror637@ChrisDMott In cultural consciousness, it will replace the original, and Capcom is hostile to the idea of making the OGs available with that goal in mind. GOG had to beg them to agree to release the original trilogy, with Capcom straight up saying nobody needs them anymore because of remakes
@babypinkvtuber RE1. People say to play the Remake, and I understand that it's easier to get into, but imo, it robs you of seeing the amazing technological and artistic jump between the OG and the remake. There's a reason that original game captivated so many people. Give it a try, I say.
@telltalegames I'm good. The channel's grown since the last we spoke.. years ago, I think?
Anyway, I'm glad to see the company is still working on this. Maybe it's not much, but I'll be looking forward to this game on release.
@adasfile People who never played Code Veronica cannot wait to never play the remake and watch it instead. People who played it cannot wait to play the game that has completely different gameplay, art style and dialogue while thinking its the same.
Literally what is happening
