A chaotic sequence to end the second.
William Carrier gets a stick up high and goes straight down the tunnel.
Play goes the other way, and shortly after, Alexandre Texier gets K'Andre Miller right in the jewels.
Carolina will start the third on the power play.
If UVA finishes with 10 wins this year, every ACC team besides BC and Cal will have had a 10-win season during Doeren’s tenure. It’s only treated as some kind of mythical achievement because people around State have Stockholm syndrome or something.
I’ve seen a number of posts anticipating the end of Doeren’s tenure, thanking him for “elevating the program.” While he was an adequate coach for most of it, if he goes 1-3 to finish the year as projected, his tenure will be the essentially the same as Amato with 2x the years.

@joeovies To continue to act like the continued support and employment of these guys, in this industry, with their middling track records, is some kind of moral issue, and that not being happy with their results is some kind of failing, is really odd.
@joeovies Keatts had 2 of the worst seasons in State history in 4 years, the latter being the worst team in the conference’s worst year ever. While Dave Doeren has previously been able to inflate his record with beating poor teams, giving away games, like Saturday, has become a trend.
@giglio_OG Define what you want but walking 4 and committing an error to give up 7 runs in the top of 1st to start (and essentially end) your postseason to an opponent with a lead off hitter that’s a State legacy that transferred away is more than “just losing.”
@corylav The league has made it pretty clear over time that running into goalies in playoffs is a good strategy, and they generally leave it up to the teams to enforce most everything.
This season, Avs points % with Rantanen .592, without .704. Canes pts% with .500, without .675. Stars pts% with .571, without .677. Teams with Rantanen this season 37-27-5 .572, those 3 teams without him on their roster 93-42-6 .680. .680 would be 3rd in the league, .572 is 13th.
@codnacho Not that I’m against allusions to gay people in my kid’s shirts, but rainbows are also things that just exist in the world outside of any symbolism/“wokeness” and have been a part of kids clothing basically my entire life. I’m sure this guy also hates Care Bears but Lucky Charms?
