i cannot rationalize a truly atheist position

the deeper you go into engineering
the more you realize how absurdly precise systems have to be to even work at all

like we spend weeks just tuning a feedback loop so a motor doesn’t overshoot by 3 degrees

we chase thermal drift, vibration resonance, EMI noise, decimal places of clearance
everything is barely held together by formulas we don’t really understand

and then you look at nature
and it’s running nanomachines on lipid membranes using protein folding algorithms we still also adon’t fully understand
with error correction
with self-replication

and some guy in a lab coat says “random chance” like that’s a sufficient model

any engineer with a shred of humility sees the design

and eventually asks who the Designer is

the ones who don’t are fully coping
