Today is #WorldAIDSDay
Remembering all of our beautiful friends who lost their lives and sending out strength to those folks still living with HIV and AIDS.
One of our researchers was searching to c if there were actually any reports of trans women attacking non-trans women in UK public toilets. He couldn't find any articles covering any such attacks. Google was surprised that we'd even asked: "Did you mean trans woman ASSAULTED UK?"
The fact I was able to transition & get access to the health care that I needed is a massive privilege - a privilege I don't take lightly. I wouldn't b here today if I wasn't able to access it, & we've got to start realising how vital it is that trans ppl to have that access. Owl
I don't even know where to begin with today's negative media onslaught on trans people. So much disinformation, so much hate. And on a day where many are paying respects for Trans Day of Remembrance. Be kind to yourselves folks ❤️
