It was great that Bordeaux and the CFB community forced EA to remove paywalled content that was free last year, however it transpires that EA didn't reinstate the content, they just removed it in a "if you wont pay for it you just wont get it at all then" move.
I think this speaks volumes to the reality of a community ACTUALLY being able to force change, because although the removal of the MTX here is good, the fact that EA didn't get their way with it means they just removed the content all together.
A lot of FC creators and community members pushed a LOT of shit towards other creators for not doing enough "when we had the chance" - and used this instance as a battering ram back up that narrative, but the reality is (and always was) - that EA will do what EA want, and there's nothing we can do about it.
I really thought the CFB community had broken new grounds with EA in this regard, but EA's greed knows no bounds. Sad.
@EASPORTSCollege@ASUFootball I promise you we don’t care for this as much as we care about XP Sliders and Fastest Coach XP setting. Stop gaslighting us and let us play how we want to play. The micro transactions are already gone. Stop being stubborn. #BringBackXPSliders
2k’s my nba mode has sliders to control virtually anything you’d want. XP rate, draft class quality, etc.
EA doesn’t want to mess up the “balance”in CFB’s dynasty mode. So they don’t allow user control in their mode.
User control is better. Especially in a SANDBOX mode

EA is taking away the freedom to enjoy the new college football game the way you want to play
There aren’t even microtransactions anymore to incentivize making the game restricted and harder
The smart people know where this ends, with their “live service plans in CFB 28 and beyond.” The community deserves better than this @EASPORTSCollege
BREAKING: The House has passed legislation to make Daylight Saving Time permanent nationwide, ending the twice-a-year clock changes by a 308-117 vote. Backed by President Trump, the bill now heads to the Senate. If approved and signed into law, Americans would no longer have to change their clocks.
The gaslighting here is insane. If the goal was not for coaches to quickly reach level 100, why did you introduce microtransactions allowing it?
If the goal is slow progression and meaningful coach point decisions over 20-30 years, why give the option to bypass that with microtransactions?
It's clear the goal is future microtransactions. That's your choice to make, but you have to stop with the, "we are doing this for you" bit.
Imagine destroying the best playing sports game out of EA Tiburon in more than a decade because youre still stubborn about not giving players the freedom to play how they want and already have in the past.
Youre getting no money from me and I’m sure MANY others. @EASPORTSCollege

Jon Hamm was originally considered to play protagonist Cole Phelps in LA Noire, one of the game's writers says.
Instead, the role went to Hamm's Mad Men co-star Aaron Stanton.
