@hoosierville11 Clearly Becker would’ve scored as well, but it still amazes that the weak side LB just stood in concrete without trying to run at/with Marsh after seeing the play action look.
@225couyon You try walking into that Indian burial ground of a stadium for a 12:00 BTN game on a dreary ass day in early November as a top 5 team. There are only two possible outcomes: a) A win by 5+ TDs; or b) a ridiculous dogfight into the late 4th quarter. 😆😆😆
@JoeNicely Agreed. I’m normally a fan of CBS’s broadcast team, but this wasn’t good. It just feels like everyone is trying to drop a “Nantz-ism” during every shot they call. No one wants or needs to hear that “Rory was born to be a star” on the 14 green, Colt Knost!
@ll_r_ps@upstatefederlst@AnthonyCumia Agreed. Chuck knew exactly what Jimmy was ultimately capable of doing. In the end, Jimmy and Kim were absolute shit heels with little or no consideration for those in their orbit. Howard was a bit of a phony, but was the biggest victim in the series.
@StevenBlathras @RGIII@OuttaPocketRG3 I think this is the correct take. QB is probably the “most important” specified position in sports, but I’m not sure anyone has a bigger impact on a team’s ultimate success (e.g. winning a title) than an NBA team’s best player.
@lilglocc1k I worked an airport bar at CMH 20+ years ago and did two/three 5:30 am to 1:00 pm shifts a week. It was a different world. During the days of nonstop America West flights to Las Vegas. Vegas groups would come in revved up at 6:00. It was awesome.
@pvthurley@JonnyBengal Bingo. He’s best suited as a 3-4 DE. I don’t think he’s twitchy enough or has enough bend to consistently beat tackles in the pass rush. He does play the run well and is a good enough athlete to do some things, but not worth a day 2 pick at rush end, IMO.
@barstoolsports Look, he’s an idiot of a HC, but in this instance, he was correct. After the Brown injury, he had to decide between being up 3 w/ appx 45 secs left (and no Den TO) or being up 7 w/ 1:20 left (w 1 Den TO). If Brown doesn’t get hurt, they bleed it to around 10 secs before the FG.
@KJFantasySports@HalfBaked802@emmethumeys@JJWatt Not sure about that. The clock was stopped after 1st down and Den still had a TO. If you take a knee on 2nd & 3rd and kick a FG on 4th, there is likely around 40 secs on the clock & Den only needs a FG to tie. Either way, the Bengals D is garbage & can’t be trusted in that spot.
@jemelehill Ahh, yes. Surely it’s the long since dead Ronald Reagan who is responsible for 100%+ increases in higher ed costs over the past 30 years and not administrative bloat, artificial demand and federally guaranteed loans. You’ve cracked the case!
@AllProZay I’m a Bengals fan and definitely realize what kind of special player Lamar is. For those of us who don’t see him every play/every week, the thing that often gets buried is how damn strong he is. Those plays were unreal.
@FLASHGLADDING @danorlovsky7 Bingo. This has been the case for a few years now. The scheme stinks. No “breathers” as Brady said yesterday. Every bit of offensive success is based upon Burrow’s ability to diagnose and make the best throw in every damn passing situation.
@ESPNCleveland That’s a shame. As a Bengals fan who lived in NE Ohio for a number of years, I always enjoyed Jimmy as a broadcaster. His joy and passion for his work was obvious.
@SBuehls422@OpoyChase You’re thinking of Tre Flowers. Waynes may have been active 3-4 times in two seasons. While I don’t think he was a “stopper” by any means, Flowers did do some good work in man on some TEs during that run.
