Today, we're going to see how far into Dark Souls we can get without alerting/aggroing any enemies.
You know, in a game that doesn't have a dedicated stealth mechanic.
This should go well.

@lucychan27 Do you? Thanks for the notification, that's really upsetting to hear.
Youtube doesn't let us pick and choose exact ads that go on our channel. I'll reach out to my rep and see if there's anything they can do about limiting/removing those type of ads on their end though.
Headshots. Every time they show up in a game, you know you're in for a good time.
But unlike other games, Dark Souls 1 has some...interesting...ideas about how headshots should work.

That's right. It's time for some good ol' Disney games.
You know, the ones that the developers literally apologized for because they made some of the levels hard on purpose so you couldn't beat them in a single weekend rental?
Yeah, those ones.

That's right baby, we're going back to the classics!
Back when Mario could only walk, run, duck and jump.
But that begs the question - is the game even doable if you remove 1/4th of Mario's movement mechanics?

Hammers are pretty cool in Dark Souls, but what about their bigger, angrier cousin, Great Hammers?
Do they live up to their name? Or are they just an overhyped mess?
...oh who are we kidding, you can't go wrong with some Big Bonks.

A team is only as strong as its weakest member. And that's doubly true of survival games.
But if we remove all the other team members, then we remove all the weakness!
...wait, why am I still dying repeatedly?

Dark Souls fans are absolutely rabid when it comes to ultra greatswords.
And it's hard not to see why.
But aside from the eldritch knowledge of "Press R1, win game," what other hidden secrets do these weapons have?
https://t.co/3VFYCXkqs8
Halberds are just a sword duct-taped to a stick. Prove me wrong.
...okay, that's not even close to accurate, but to be fair Dark Souls doesn't seem to know what a halberd is either.

A wooshing noise. The after-effect of a blade swinging through the air. A sudden burst of damage.
If you're looking for flowing combos, fast swings and above-average damage, have I got the weapon class for you.

High On Life 2 is all about its guns. They talk, they quip, they give you terrible advice, and they're (probably) super important to completing the game.
...so how far could you get if you didn't use them?

Thrusting swords have always been a strange beast in the Dark Souls series.
So, with that said, I think it's time we gave them a look and really figured out what it is they do, what they do well, and what's holding them back.

So it turns out, one of the boss combos that I struggled with FOR DAYS can actually be separated if you do a side quest.
This is both fantastic and devastating news.

NIOH and I have a bit of a history. And by that, I mean that I tried to challenge run NIOH once, and it slapped me down so hard that I sat on my own shurikens.
Not this time.

Once Human and I have done a lot together. We've beaten it with throwing knives, with explosives, and built an entire guildhall on it's monster-covered shores.
But what if we...let the game beat itself?
...this is going to end badly, isn't it?
