@N3XTHoops@FSUHoops That's a "no".
Let’s call it what it is.
You’re using FSU’s name to get kids to flood your replies, then funneling them toward your recruiting service.
The high-major name is the bait.
The kids are the leads AND the engagement.
Customer acquisition disguised as recruiting. 🎯
🚨 THE $2,500 RECRUITING SERVICE EXPERIENCE
1,847 coach emails sent.
12 opened.
3 film views.
0 recruiting conversations.
0 offers.
But don’t worry — “they’re working.” 😭
Before you pay, ask for one number:
How many players have you ACTUALLY placed?
Parents, read this.
There is a LOT of money being made off your confusion about how recruiting actually works.
Some services provide real value. Some sell you things you never needed. Others need your kid more than your kid needs them.
Learn the business before you become the business. 🧠🏀
Parents, if any of these “scouts” approach you from these services:
NCSA
Field Level
NSR
SPORTS RECRUITS
GO BIG RECRUITING
They will take your money, create a profile on a website that nobody uses and never return your calls or answer your questions.
RUN AWAY‼️
@JoshStraughan1 Add the “DROP YOUR FILM 👇” accounts too.
Posting your film TO an audience can be exposure.
Burying your film in a reply section with 300 other kids is not.
You’re not getting exposure. You ARE the engagement.
Learn the difference before somebody sells it back to you. 😂
The majority of college basketball coaches recruit in an order along these lines now:
*High School Blue Chippers will always be first (for those that actually can). Then everyone else👇🏻
1. Their current roster
2. Transfers
3. International (if applicable)
4. Prep/Post Grad
5. High School
@djones8301 This is how bad recruiting advice becomes “free game.”
Schools offer WAY more kids than they can afford to bring on official visits.
An official is a recruiting expense, not a lie detector.
No official ≠ fake offer.
Want the truth? Ask if the offer is committable TODAY.
“Rankings don’t matter” has always been lazy.
They don’t determine whether you can play.
But they absolutely influence perception, attention, market value and opportunity.
The real conversation isn’t whether rankings matter.
It’s WHOSE rankings matter.
Recruiting services love telling you how many college coaches they “know.”
Wrong question.
Ask how many coaches trust their evaluation enough to actually recruit a player they recommend.
Anybody can build a contact list.
Pull is earned. 🎯
Everybody wants to talk offers.
Cool. What does the school actually cost?
Your GPA can matter to the financial side of recruiting a LOT more than people realize.
The biggest scholarship isn’t always the best deal.
Know the package. Know the price. 🧠🏀
🚨 SHOWCASE PARENTS: ASK THE RIGHT QUESTION.
“30+ basketball personnel in attendance” sounds great.
How many are actual college coaches who can recruit your kid?
Scouts and evaluators have value.
But if the goal is recruitment, coaches are the currency. 🎯
Parents: That "showcase event" looks like opportunity, but it's not. Kids lose sleep, travel far, are put through rote repetition & play bad ball in front of no one. These events profit off hope. True exposure comes from real development, trusted competition, not hype cash grabs.

🚨 YOU CAN'T BUY A RANKING.
Of course not.
You just pay for the tournament.
Pay for the showcase.
Pay for the camp.
Pay for the subscription.
Pay for more opportunities to be evaluated.
Then the rankings update.
Totally different. 😭
@CoachJohnson82 Tiering an elite camp makes sense.
Tiering it by postseason awards doesn't.
All-State where? 2A? 6A? What competition? What does the film say?
Awards aren't a universal talent scale.
And let's be real: most "elite camps" are fundraisers with evaluation attached. 😂
