Think Van is just going to be an absolutely awful stylistic matchup for Taira here. Believe Taira is going to have an extremely hard time getting takedowns & getting his grappling off. Van is one of the best if not the best anti grappler in the division and has absolutely elite TDD and get ups. On the feet Van is far & away the better striker, throws & lands nearly 3x as many strikes per minute than Taira & is the bigger moment winner with all of the KO upside. Van is going to push a pace on Taira and also believe he has the better cardio of the two. Honestly view Taira as sub or bust here, so as long as Van can avoid that bodylock & getting his back taken this fight could look like a total mismatch. From a value standpoint we’re getting the same odds on Van here as we did against Pantoja on a 8 fight win streak, would line Van more towards 50% implied here.

Woo just got chased after 53 pitches last outing, 6 days ago. He’s completely fresh, looking for a bounce back and has an A+ matchup here vs the Royals. He’s been incredibly efficient this season aside from last start. He’s thrown 90+ pitches once this season and already has 3/6 games where he went 7 innings.

Now facing a Royals team who has some pretty evident splits. .809 ops at home vs .602 ops on the road. Just absolutely miserable splits. Scoring 5.4 runs at home vs 2.6 runs scored on the road. They have a league worst .273 wOBA and a bottom 10 ISO as well away from home.

Not to mention they’re playing at Safeco which is ranked as the worst hitters ballpark in the league by BaseballSavant
