My final takeaway from the presser: The Hoffmanns are real people. I'm betting they know how much bread costs. And they came off as unguarded, sincere, but also sharp biz people who see the Penguins as a good deal on which they'll build a generational family empire with dollars, not nickels and dimes. They take the Penguins seriously, which was refreshing. Actions speak louder, but the words were good.

I absolutely love the #Penguins re-signing Connor Dewar. Played a major role on the fourth line this season, scoring a career-high 14 goals. $2.25M AAV for 2 years is a bargain.

Bringing back Solovyov provides solid defensemen depth, if nothing else.
