36-year-old man tried to snatch a young boy who had fallen slightly behind his parents

A witness said the child screamed for his mom as the man grabbed him

The suspect dropped the boy and ran when the parents rushed toward him

Both parents chased him into traffic before police nearby caught and arrested him

Charges were still pending as of Monday morning
