“Sheikh Hamad declared that the greatest threat to the Gulf is neither Iran, Israel nor foreign military bases but internal Gulf disunity. To counter this, he proposed the creation of a ‘Gulf NATO’, a joint political and defence project starting with a core group of strategically aligned Gulf nations with Saudi Arabia serving as its natural backbone.” https://t.co/RZGW5uBO47
@IRIMFA_SPOX And yet, a millennium after the Arab conquest of Iran and the 2 centuries of silence, Iranians still have Arabic names. You venerate Ali the Arab, follow the religion of the Arabs, write in an Arabic script, and a quarter of Farsi is Arabic.
What lessons may you draw from that?
The Arab conquest of Persia was a successful foreign invasion in Iran’s history. The effects of the 2 centuries of silence are still visible. The Arabs’ religion was imposed on you. Around 30% of Farsi is Arabic. You have Arabic names and your script is based on Arabic 💋
Throughout history, Iranians have stood not only against single invaders, but against powerful "pluses" and grand "legionnaires" — and have always emerged with honor.
On a day like this in 53 BC, at the Battle of Carrhae, General Surena, with far fewer men and far more limited resources, crushed Rome’s heavily armored legions in a masterful 'asymmetric' victory.
Crassus, one of the wealthiest and most powerful Romans was slain; the myth of Roman invincibility was shattered forever; and Rome’s dream of eastward expansion died on the battlefield.
History repeats itself — for those who refuse to study it or respect its lessons.

@sharghzadeh You are generalizing.
Saudi Arabia today is the successful Saudi centuries project of unifying arabia. The rest of the gcc are more like city states that survived the unification bcus of british protection.
Saudi arabia and to a lesser extent oman do not fit ur description.
Your point? Even Nazi scientists and physicians have PhDs. A doctorate doesn’t necessarily make you smart, qualified or capable, nor does it make one reasonable, moral or ethical.
Only semantically in the sense that the UAE was established two days after the islands were seized at the end of November 1971, and, as you know, they were controlled by Sharjah and Ras al-Khaimah, two of the emirates which became part of the UAE in December 1971 & February 1972.
@dambun@AwkwardArab@hmajd The UAE may not have existed but the different individual Emirates existed for centuries. The oldest ruling family is the Al Qasimi (whose reign began 3 centuries ago). Not only have they ruled the 3 islands, but also Bandar Linga, bandar Abbas, Minab and Qeshm.
@andreas_krieg A BBC report noted that one-third of the ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz are linked to Iran. Would it be logical for the US fleet to mirror Iran by preventing these vessels from moving beyond the Arabian Sea or is the risk of escalation too great?
In the Gulf we used the disparaging phrase Mala'een Al-Seer ملاعين الصير about the 16th century Portuguese invaders bombing the Gulf coast & trying to control the strait of Hormuz. The Iranian regime today are the latest aggressors & they too have become Mala'een Al-Seer.
Are you sure?
Israel’s unpunished Doha strike on 9 September 2025 sets a dangerous precedent for the Gulf, and its subsequent threats to strike again reinforce that risk.
Despite targeting Hamas, the strike is a clear violation of sovereignty and a direct attack on Qatar.
My Friends , Israel hasn’t attacked
the Gulf states even once since they
were founded!
Iran Mullas? Three times already!
So when a Gulf Arab tells you
Iran Regime is the real enemy
not Israel, believe him.
It’s reality, not ideology 😂
Statement | Six Arab States Renew Condemnation of Direct, Proxy Iranian Attacks in the Region
Doha | March 25, 2026
The State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan renew their condemnation in the strongest terms of the blatant Iranian attacks, which constitute a flagrant violation of their sovereignty, territorial integrity, international law, international humanitarian law, and the Charter of the United Nations, whether carried out directly or through their proxies and armed factions they support in the region.
We stress, in particular, the attacks carried out by armed factions loyal to Iran from the Republic of Iraq against a number of countries in the region, as well as their facilities and infrastructure. These acts are a breach of international laws and conventions and a blatant violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 2817 (2026), which explicitly demands that Iran immediately and unconditionally cease any attacks or threats against neighboring states, including through the use of proxies.
While we value our fraternal relations with the Republic of Iraq, we call on the Iraqi government to take the necessary measures to immediately halt the attacks launched by factions, militias, and armed groups from Iraqi territory toward neighboring countries, in order to preserve brotherly relations and avoid further escalation.
We also reaffirm our full and inherent right to self-defense against these criminal attacks in accordance with Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, which guarantees the right of states to self-defense, individually and collectively, in the event of aggression, and our right to take all necessary measures to safeguard our sovereignty, security, and stability.
We further condemn the destabilizing acts and activities targeting the security and stability of the region's countries, which are planned by sleeper cells loyal to Iran and terrorist organizations linked to Hezbollah, and praise our brave armed forces for confronting these attacks, as well as the vigilance of our security agencies, which serve as a strong shield and a watchful eye in preserving the safety of our nations and lives, and their sincere and dedicated efforts in apprehending these agent cells and terrorist organizations and exposing their malicious plots.

@ArabianFlame@Hayataholica
His desperation to rule is comical. Islamic Republic or not, Iran has always been a threat to its Arab neighbours. It was the Pahlavis who occupied our islands and threatened to annex Bahrain. The Islamic Republic simply inherited Pahlavi Iran’s coercive and expansionist nature.
Iran is not the Islamic Republic.
Iran’s civilian infrastructure belongs to the Iranian people and to the future of a free Iran. The Islamic Republic’s infrastructure is the machinery of repression and terror used to keep that future from becoming reality.
Iran must be protected. The regime must be dismantled.
I ask President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu to continue targeting the regime and its apparatus of repression, while sparing the civilian infrastructure Iranians will need to rebuild our country.
With the support of the US and Israel, and above all the sacrifice of Iranian patriots, the hour of Iran’s freedom is at hand.
Long live Iran!
