Ex-Maryland QB Cam Edge (@cameron_edge2) has committed to Eastern Michigan, a source tells @CBSSports/@247Sports.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pound former four-star was 4 of 6 for 82 yards with a first quarter TD pass while splitting time at QB in last year’s Music City Bowl vs. Auburn.

EA Sports also requested any “unique to EMU” owned photo assets that could be used for some loading screens in-game such as shots of campus, the stadium, cheerleaders, player walks, equipment/uniforms in the locker room, tunnel, rivalry games, mascot imagery.

EA Sports also requested the following files:

-Helmet being held up or placed on ground
-Team flag being waved
-Generic cheer/band/spirit squads
-Campus/tailgating imagery
-Unique school traditions
-Image of the Michigan MAC Trophy

After a FOIA request letter, I have received some files that Eastern Michigan Athletics has sent to EA Sports for the new EA College Football 25 game. The school sent in mock-up images of the new turf, jerseys for EA development, as well as historical program records.

Former Eastern Michigan University baseball star Max Schuemann has been called up by the Oakland Athletics, the team announced this morning.

Assuming Schuemann appears in a game, he will become the 18th Eagle in EMU’s history to play in the MLB.
