I am forever in debt to these mountains. Running through them has changed the trajectory of my life forever. I have an obligation to myself, these mountains, and running.

You won't always know who you are. In those moments you only need to remember two things. Remember who you are NOT and continue figuring out who you are NOT. Let math and time do the rest. The final answer is 'you'.
If you go out and feel like every experience is numb and lonely, even when there are plenty of people around, it’s no one’s fault but your own. Invest a little energy into someone or your surroundings and you’ll always get energy back.

Give it everything you got, it’s worth finding out
You have to practice being challenged the way you practice for anything. If you never practice you steer around challenge when it pops up because it’s uncomfortable and you lack the skills. Worse yet, you keep yourself stuck in a box of things that don’t challenge you.
Man life really is a beautiful and fun ride when you’re really livin’ it. Like really, really, takin action throughout your day and crafting the life you want. Not just being reactionary to everything going on around you like you’re just a spectator. fuck.
Saying “Must be nice” is one of the highest forms of self disrespect. It paints you a victim in your own story. It takes away your own power to create. Someone has it worse. Someone has done it better. You’re not inadequate. You just haven’t started. They have. Start.
Running has given me the patience and clear mind to consider reading. Finishing my first book this year gave me so much value and perspective. Now after completing my third I’ve found myself ordering two more. I can’t wait to see what doors open next. I’m addicted to living.
