Today, like every day, started with walking the dog — a stubborn mastiff cross who thinks he’s in charge. Then breakfast, a few quick tasks to clear the decks, and I was at my desk, ready to dive in.

Although I aim to spend about an hour a day on music - playing, writing, messing around, mixing - often I just don't have time. But if I'm really focused I can get something specific done in 10 minutes.
