@TreciaKS Vanilla CSS is good. But you should go with one of pre-processor tools like Stylus, SCSS. It will give you better control and minimize the keystrokes. You will achieve same results. You will be writting same CSS rules. These tools are better for organizing your code.

@codinglayla span element has display inline by default whereas div has display block.
That's the major difference I can normally think of.
