@cottagescom yesterday you cancelled our annual family holiday with 5 days to go as the owner had decided to rent to someone else instead. As if that wasn't bad enough you are now ignoring my emails requesting a refund and not answering the phone. Really shocking customer service

@MartinSLewis are you able to advise on this at all? I still haven't had a refund and the customer service team have now said they will only talk to me on the phone and not via email, which has raised my suspicions as I would like a paper trail

@annabravington @cottagescom @anna_tims @anna_tims, is this something you would cover? I'm the person who has had our holiday cancelled and would happily talk to any journalists about it to get the message out there so this hopefully doesn't happen to more people in future!

@HelenJo16613330 @cottagescom It really does doesn't it Helen. Still no refund or communication from them. They're now saying they need to look into it. Not sure what there is to look into! They cancelled the holiday, they should refund!

@cottagescom Really shocked that despite saying you would refund yesterday your latest DM says you need to "look into this". There is nothing to look into. YOU cancelled our holiday, not us, therefore you owe us a refund.

@Ginger01 @cottagescom Yes that's right. It's upsetting enough to lose the holiday as it's our only family holiday but to now be ignored when asking for a refund is beyond belief! Surely the refund should be automatic?

@tonypuccio_tony @cottagescom sorry to hear this. Exactly the same happened to us. Five days to go and holiday cancelled. We were told the owner has decided to rent to someone else instead (reading between the lines I'm guessing they were offered more money).
