That DM reminded me why I started.
Not for the numbers. Not for the virality.
For the person at 2am who needs someone to tell them it's not too late.
I stopped asking "is this working" and started asking "is this helping."
Different question. Different results.
Then one day I got a DM.
A woman told me she found my content at 2am when she was crying about her credit card debt.
She said it was the first time someone explained money in a way that didn't make her feel stupid.
She'd paid off $1,200 in 3 months following the framework I shared.
I sat with that for a long time.
The voice in my head got loud.
"Who are you to teach people about finance?"
"There are already a thousand people doing this."
"Nobody's listening."
I almost believed it.
I pulled back. Posted less. Started treating it like a hobby instead of a mission.
It was about 8 months in.
I had poured everything into the brand.
Time. Money. Energy I didn't have.
And the growth was slow.
Like painfully, embarrassingly slow.
I'd post something I spent hours on and get 12 impressions.
I started wondering if I was fooling myself.
