GLM-5.2 is Fully Open, Frontier Intelligence Belongs to Everyone
Today, the sudden restriction of certain frontier models is deeply regrettable. At a time when access to frontier models is abruptly cut off for non-technical reasons, we are even more convinced of one thing: science should be global.
The path to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) must never be enclosed by high walls. We have always believed that AGI should be the cornerstone for all of humanity to collaboratively explore the boundaries of intelligence and solve complex challenges, rather than a privilege monopolized by a few rules and subject to revocation at any moment. In the face of external blockades and restrictions, our attitude is one of radical openness. Frontier intelligence must remain open-source, accessible, and buildable, serving every dedicated developer.
GLM-5.2 is Zhipu's most capable open-source model to date. It not only supports a truly usable 1M context window but also maintains a continuous lead in the independent completion of long-horizon tasks, providing solid foundational support for building complex agent applications. It also continues to be our main engine for creating the strongest domestic coding model.
Tonight at 5:21—at this special moment—GLM-5.2 will officially be available to all GLM Coding Plan users (including Lite / Pro / Max). The API will also go live next week.
A step closer to frontier intelligence for everyone.
The future of AI is open, and it is for the people.
ModelKey: GLM-5.2
Intelligence should be open, accessible, and ready to build with, empowering every developer, everywhere.
GLM-5.2 is now available to all GLM Coding Plan users, including Lite, Pro, Max, and Team plans.

As our new flagship model, GLM-5.2 delivers powerful coding capabilities, usable 1M-context support, and continued strengths in long-horizon tasks.
API and Chatbot services will launch next week. The model will also be officially open-sourced next week under the MIT License.
The future of AI is open, and it belongs to the people.
Wheaton Precious Metals posted a net profit margin of 77.1% in Q3 2025.
Most people don't know what that means in context.
Here is the comparison:
Apple's net profit margin: approximately 26%.
Google's net profit margin: approximately 29%.
Microsoft's net profit margin: approximately 36%.
Wheaton Precious Metals: 77.1%.
A mining company out-margining every major technology company on Earth.
Here is why:
They do not mine anything.
They signed contracts years ago to buy gold at $650/oz and silver at $12.50/oz — fixed forever.
When gold hits $4,500 and silver hits $76, every dollar above those fixed costs is pure profit.
In Q1 2026 they generated $901 million in revenue and $582 million in net earnings.

Dear @DarioAmodei & @AnthropicAI team,
Claude with Fable 5 was the best software product I have ever used. Losing access was a gut punch - and I know I'm far from alone.
I want to help bring it back, fast. At @selfxyz we've built the missing piece to make Anthropic compliant with the government's directive: a way to gate Fable 5 and Mythos 5 to verified US citizens. https://t.co/s9uAAdw0hO lets Claude users create and share a cryptographic proof of US citizenship by NFC-scanning the biometric chip in their US passport. It's privacy-preserving, independently audited, and already trusted by major companies at scale.
My team is ready to work directly with yours, starting today, to wire this in. Everyone here in the US wants their Fable 5 access back. Let's give it to them.
Rene
I’ve had a number of conversations with folks inside and outside government about the current situation with Anthropic, and here is what I believe to be true:
— As we know, Anthropic publicly released its Mythos class models earlier this week under the commercial name Fable.
— Fable is Mythos with guardrails. But if those guardrails fail, then you’ve exposed Mythos and its advanced cyber capabilities to people who shouldn’t have them. (Keep in mind that Anthropic itself widely promoted the idea that Mythos was a cyberweapon and needed to be regulated as such. They asked for government regulation of Mythos and championed the guardrails on Fable. If there is a vulnerability — big or small — it is Anthropic’s responsibility to patch.)
— A highly credible trusted partner of both Anthropic and the USG who was testing Fable came forward with a jailbreak of those guardrails. The Admin asked Dario to fix the jailbreak or de-deploy the model. Dario refused.
— In their blog post, Anthropic defended its decision by saying the jailbreak isn’t serious. That is not what the trusted partner and the USG believe; nor is that kind of minimizing language consistent with Anthropic’s brand as the AI safety company. It’s difficult to fathom how they could claim a jailbreak allowing operability of a cyber weapon could be defined as not “serious.”
— In the past, Anthropic has always said that safety must be top priority and taken super seriously. In this case, Anthropic prioritized the continued offering of the consumer model over safety.
— In reaction, the Admin issued the export control. The Admin did this reluctantly. It’s been very surprised that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to cooperate with a reasonable safety request (ie fixing the jailbreak issue). Anthropic’s reaction is very much at odds with their branding and ethos as a safe AI research community.
— The Admin’s hope now is that Anthropic remediates the safety issue, the export control is lifted, and Fable goes back into general release. The Admin wants all of this to happen as soon as possible. It is frankly bewildered that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to comply with safety requests that it previously said were its highest priority.
— Those trying to misdirect and tie this action to the prior DoW/Anthropic issues are wrong. The Admin values Anthropic’s technical capabilities and feels that this issue, while serious, should be easily resolved. The ball is in Anthropic’s court.
@GoldPredictors Honestly where we are, it’s all buying opportunities… don’t try to time a single entry point, just average down and wait for gold 10k+ land.
It’s inevitable
US govt security concerns prompt a ban of foreign nationals even within US to use AI models that are too powerful
Anthrophic “The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance”
AI companies need extensive investment but can only supply to a very narrowed customer base. Financially, this will never work and the business model is destined to fail
Worst of all, it is conceding the market to others that are not restricting access. The open source vs close source battle maybe over before it starts

This next rally up is going to be different than the other rallies we've seen. You're going to suddenly explode up out of this hole in a way that the people who doubted it won't have a chance to reposition. You've had three chances to kill it. And if you can't kill it on the third try, forget it. For those people who believe that such a move sounds impossible, what lessons does market history offer about how quickly prices can reveal or revalue once a market escapes this long-term trading range and enters a true price discovery phase?
