BREAKING: The Chicago Bulls have dismissed executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley, sources tell ESPN.
The Milwaukee Bucks have indicated to teams that they are keeping Giannis Antetokounmpo through the trade deadline and will start making other trades, sources tell ESPN.
They weren't all bad moves in isolation, but the fact that the Bulls turned Coby White, Nikola Vucevic, Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso into just one first-rounder is emblematic of the problem here.
Giannis to Chicago is now down to +275
One bettor has a series of bets at various odds that would turn $1,075 into $22,575 if Giannis is traded to the Bulls before the deadline 👀
In the lead up to tonight’s jersey retirement, I’ve struggled reconciling my reverence for Derrick Rose with the organization’s ploy to distract us from their perpetual mediocrity. This article by @Drew_H_Stevens perfectly captures my feelings.

For decades, ownership has rested on its laurels/profits riding the coattails of the brand & nostalgia established by Michael Jordan. Now they’re doing the same milking (if not totally leaching off) Rose for a new generation of fans not old enough to remember the dynasty years.
Shoutout DRose, the guy largely responsible for me becoming a STH, podcast co-host, and resurrected irrational Bulls fan. MJ had me fall in love with basketball as a kid, but no one inspired more Chicago sports hope for me as an adult than @drose.
Thanks for all the memories.
