@wltregay @carolina27712 @lisasorg I was such a goofy kid. When I went to UNCA back in the day it was the first time ever out from under parents and I called my dad to ask permission when a boy from the dorm asked me on a date.

@wltregay A rainbow of heirloom tomatoes from the farmers market layered with a ricotta and cheddar filling in a savory pastry crust. I'll let you know how it is tomorrow after I cut it.

The crust got smushed on the edge taking it out from the blind bake so it's a little wonky and I think next time I'll put the basil on top after it bakes but overall I think it looks yummy.

@DurmBull @wltregay Obv I can't speak to this kid's experience or mental state but that's around the age when my suicidal ideation started. I knew I wouldn't be able to make myself acceptable to peers and it was soul crushing. I came home daily in tears. I knew I was different but had no idea why.

@DurmBull @wltregay It's tough when you're the age beginning to understand how social acceptance is absolutely everything in life while simultaneously realizing you are - and feels as if always will be - an unwanted outcast. I got this being a chubby un-dx autistic kid around this age.
