Overly enthusiastic teacher of many all-star AP Calculus AB and BC Students. Also teaches future Calc Stars - Honors Precalc, and dabbles in Algebra II.

@Walkergirl66 Thank you friend, and I’m sorry - I’m a bit heartbroken too ❤️ It’s strange times and bittersweet emotion. Lots of stars aligning and the time felt right.
Maybe you can remember my decision to start over, but to continue to learn and grow. To challenge myself. These are the things I ask of students, and now it’s my turn. ❤️
Twitter never seems like the best platform for me when I always have SO much to say 🙃
This goes out to my former students… (or those not on facebook/instagram)…

I try to inspire a love for hard work, determination (and the benefits that come with them), and of course a love of problem solving, or the subject itself. Stepping down may have a different impact, but maybe this can inspire taking a chance, a leap, getting out of comfort zones
My husband says I say this every yr but I was SO worried about scores- a few students in particular who absolutely gave their all & so deserved credit (though their work ethic will take them far)…thrilled to report that every.single.student passed again (+ OK 7th bell 100% 5s!)
insane how the only notable change since Sandy Hook is that kids are now formally trained to hide, barricade doors, fight, or run for their lives. that was the solution. to literally put the responsibility on them to figure it out and wish them luck.
Epic game of calc taboo yesterday. Nothing like hearing a teenager say “the f word” and the entire class scream FUNCTION!! at once 🥰 also Luke’s “bad word for your behind” - AS…YMPTOTE 👏 But Johnny dropping to the ground for Rolle’s may forever be a teaching highlight for me
long time, no tweet, but today is
a BIG FUN day, and I'm so
excited to hear the
"this is seriously the most fun I've ever had taking an AP test" & "I've never felt this confident" coming from intermission. This group is Amazing.

Take care of yourself first, and then take care of those around you.
But please just remember this world needs you and you are worth it.
1st annual calcs-giving was a smashing (potatoes) success. Writing thank you letters to teachers, family fun riddles, and SO MUCH FOOD. not to mention a microwave, an air fryer & 3 crock pots. these kids are COMMITTED. so thankful ❤️
