Fascism isn’t about goose-stepping or one man with a funny mustache. Strip away the cartoon, and here’s what it really is:

Fascism = the merger of corporate power, state power, and nationalist ideology to control the public.

The Core Traits

Authoritarian Nationalism → Patriotism as obedience. “You’re either with us or against us.”

Corporate–State Merger → Laws written in boardrooms. Wall Street, Big Tech, and the Pentagon call the shots.

Suppression of Dissent → Protest = terrorism, whistleblowers = traitors. Surveillance runs 24/7.

Scapegoating → Always an “enemy” to blame: immigrants, Muslims, China, Russia, trans people — whoever’s convenient.

Mass Distraction → Instead of Mussolini rallies, you get Marvel movies, TikTok trends, and Super Bowl flyovers. Bread and circuses, 2.0.

Permanent Mobilization → Forever wars abroad, forever culture wars at home. Emergency powers never end.

Why the U.S. Fits

Presidents are just rotating sales reps. Real power sits in boardrooms, intelligence agencies, and defense contractors.

The “two-party system” is one party with two wings: different flavors of corporatism, same bird.

Dissent is allowed only if it’s harmless. Step outside the lines and you’ll meet riot cops, censorship, or prison.

The Bottom Line

The U.S. doesn’t need a Mussolini.
Its fascism is faceless, boardroom-driven, and wrapped in red-white-and-blue branding.
