Flow is always good for how Pat wants to play. But teams like Kansas and Tennessee, defensive-minded teams, have been able to control flow and dare Louisville to beat them one-on-one. I’m not anti the overall playing style. I just wish there was more of a formula whenever a team has decided, “We’re gonna get back on defense and dare you to beat us.” As you said, pace has picked up and you can see more rhythm already.
Gotta have an offensive formula against talented teams like Kansas. Their personnel is gonna be good enough defensively, regardless of what you wanna execute, but making it easy on them is a recipe for disaster.
Even with great individual pieces, freelance offense, with everyone having freedom to try and be creators on any given possession or shoot it the first time you can see the rim, just hasn’t worked.
