@therealcliffyb You can make lots of games, but if you go against the culture or opinions of your primary audience, you just aren’t going to actually sell the game
@Colteastwood Gears can’t even get a higher player count than a washed up racing game. That’s outrageously bad and shows you where Xbox is. Imagine being the console where the most played game is a cars racing
@GameRant@therealcliffyb This franchise is dead to me if they keep the same leadership and writers. They destroyed eday by making you believe it was a war buddies story between early dom and Marcus, and instead turned it a vehicle for far left characters
@asha_shar@CoalitionGears I am a huge gears fan and decided not to purchase the game since it was not about the story between Marcus and Dom, instead the game is a vehicle for modern DNC politics.
@therealcliffyb I was going to buy gears e-day, but the political messaging is unrelatable and caused me to stop. AAA games used to cater toward the largest demographic, now it’s the smallest demographic, and it doesn’t payout. I’ll be waiting to buy the next fromsoft game.
@therealcliffyb The virality of their content is a measure of the feelings of the community. Instead of criticizing gamers for agreeing with their fav content creators, maybe ask why society prefers their opinions to yours
@therealcliffyb If your game ends up being a propaganda piece for the DNC you end up alienating half your audience. Gears 1-3 brilliantly avoids doing that, that’s a significant part of why it succeeded.
