@snackiedoodle@_StrwbryHoney Honestly, not everyone needs a manager.
Sometimes you just need someone to take a bit of the organizational load off so you can spend more time creating. That's the kind of support I enjoy providing.
If you ever want to bounce ideas around, feel free to reach out~
@PupunaMai That's a wonderful problem to have. 😄
If you ever want a hand with the organizational side of things, I offer creator support services with flexible pricing based on your needs. Feel free to reach out if you'd ever like to chat.
Congratulations on your growth!
@EbikoVtuber This holds true. The worst will always label and reduce what they don't fully understand. We will never change their minds. We just have to have thick skin as you said. The subject matter of content doesn't determine the value of the creator.
Let's call a spade a spade here...
Indie Vtubers who desire structure (more often than not) DON'T need a manager. Managers are the one's who are taking the backstage responsibilities so that Creators can focus on creating. Lording your position as a manager over a creator isn't management. It's diet dictatorship. If you're a manager worth your salt, you get nearly ZERO public recognition. That's the Hallmark of a good manager. Work without the praise.
On the other hand, a Secretary is what these smaller vtubers need. Someone to tighten things up, make their process easier and help them grow.
Sure, A Manager and a Secretary can have lines and responsibilities that cross each other, but the fact remains that they are NOT the same.
Indie Vtubers, don't feel you need to shell out for a manager when you don't really need one. There's no shame in needing someone for a smaller support role.
That makes sense. There are a lot of horror stories out there where creators will hire a 'Manager' and this 'manager' sees it as an opportunity to take over the project. That's when things really go tits-up.
A proper manager is a secretary with some extra ✨spice✨. They handle all the nonsense so the Creator can lean into what they do best; Creating.
Though, there's no shame in hiring a standard secretary as long as you can handle the rest~
@HikariTaiyo_ch Honestly, the fact that you can clearly identify what you need already puts you ahead of a lot of people.
Most creators wait until they’re completely overwhelmed before asking for support.
If it feels quiet right now, it’s not just you.
These slower cycles are where most creators either disappear…
or quietly build something that hits later.
What you do in the “dry” periods matters more than the peaks.
There are days where you won't want to continue forward. You'll feel burnt out and could care less of what you were so passionate about just a short time ago.
Those are the days where it's so important to push through it and continue. Motivation is only half the battle. Discipline is the other half of the equation.
Opportunity arrives in many forms. That doesn't mean all opportunities are a perfect fit. When they rear their head, make sure they're as good for you as you are for them. 🔰
@SimplySenah Excellent therapist do exist, however they can be 'drops in a whole ocean.'
The main thing people need to remember when getting a consultation from a therapist is that "You are evaluating the therapist just as much as they're evaluating you."
That's the unfortunate truth about a lot of therapists and therapy in general. The point of therapy is to help people who are mentally unwell in the quickest timeframe possible, but it's become "Let's treat the least sick people for the longest period of time." Which leaves people who genuinely need the support without it.
In your case, the therapist should have absolutely elaborated further or at least given some possible theories if they were unsure. But ideally they shouldn't have said anything at all unless they were doing a legitimate diagnosis.
Very irritating seeing all these so-called "therapists" taking complete advantage of the mental health crisis of our generation.
@KiraAurora_VT I don’t know what led you here, but that’s a lot to be directing inward.
The way you’re talking about yourself isn't how someone deserves to be spoken to. Not even towards themselves.
You're doing just fine even if you don't see it when you look in the mirror.
