The #Avs have selected goaltender Tobias Tvrznik with pick No. 126 in the 2026 NHL draft.

Tvrznik, a Czechia native, played for the Wenatchee Wild in the WHL this past season. He's expected to play for Wenatchee next year and then join Ohio State for 2027-28.

As it stands, penalties remain as assessed:

$100K fine to John Tortorella
Second-round pick.

There is possibility if Vegas is compliant with rules, there could be some addressing of this in the future…but it doesn’t sound like there’s room for draft penalty to be revoked…

As it stands I think the league did need to put its foot down. Hockey is experiencing a growth right now and in order to keep the momentum going, teams need to be talking to the media to generate clicks and eyes on the sport. The draft pick is the shocking part to me
