@clshoe@draapaah@HockeySnobElite Larkin signed his extension March 1st in the final year of his deal. If riding it out to the trade deadline with your captain isn't hardball idk what would be.
@PMike96608721@NHLRumourReport Probably not but it's possible. They are definitely close. Losing Larkin would be devastating so it comes down to what the return is for him. Solid return and some young guys popping and they are right there
@PMike96608721@NHLRumourReport Probably but winning cures all. If he is able to spin this into the Red Wings becoming playoff team all will be forgotten
@draapaah@HockeySnobElite Kinda gathering you don't remember how those negotiations went but we can just agree to disagree on that. I'm not really an Yzerman fan but his ultimate hardball move was Stamkos' final contract with Tampa, calling his bluff and letting Stammer walk was ballsy
@P4Rogue@Mike4sanity@NHLRumourReport Probably. Definitely expect Yzerman to be aggressive in the trade market this offseason whether that involves Larkin or not.
@P4Rogue@Mike4sanity@NHLRumourReport I don't disagree with you but if you don't see a world where Yzerman holds and drags it out you haven't been paying attention. Yzerman will get the most value he can out of this I guarantee it
@CallEmAsLyceum@draapaah@HockeySnobElite The only thing I can imagine there is Wahlman made moves on Yzermans wife. π€·πΌ I doubt we will ever find out what the hell happened between those 2
@PMike96608721@NHLRumourReport Does hurt that for sure but it's a really weak fa class and even before this any additions they would make were going to be via trade.
@P4Rogue@Mike4sanity@NHLRumourReport If he tries to get it over fast it will be pennies on the dollar. And I just can't see that happening. The closer it gets to the season the more pressure it puts on Larkin to add teams to his list. Cause he definitely doesn't want to return and get lambasted repeatedly
@P4Rogue@Mike4sanity@NHLRumourReport Which I totally get but you have to know Yzerman doesn't care about public perception at all. Perfect example is trading fan favorites Wahlman for literally nothing. Yzerman won't be forced into rushing a trade that's a guarantee
@tharlsglazer The cap ain't real any more man. Going up 8 mil this year and likely another 8 next year. They can easily cap dump with someone to make things work if needed.
@jfulls5@noahbanm08@Thrash94Gaming Ya we know you're probably trying to rebuild behind your younger studs Seider and Raymond... Here's an older dman lol
@P4Rogue@Mike4sanity@NHLRumourReport You looked way too deep into that comparison. My point was most GM's have never had a player demand a trade before so we don't know exactly how they would handle it. Yzerman has, in Drouin, so Yzerman waiting a while is totally on the table
@Jason44498841@RoidMcCoy@ivandemigoal Thomas is young enough they can rebuild around him. And Parayko doesn't seem like he wants to leave so I think you're barking up the wrong tree. The #1 definitely could help get it done but it's far from a lock
