@neverland5617@ALuckhurst5433 Like when he left her alone on the couch, crying. A shot of him standing at the other side of the wall was necessary to show us he was giving her space, but was right there when she needed him.
@neverland5617@ALuckhurst5433 I think they did Tim dirty several times by not giving him opportunities to show this. We have seen it in Eric’s facial expressions and smiles, the way he looks at her, but it’s never on the page.
@nothing_notions So much wasted potential. It’s why the edits are often better than the real scenes. They make me feel what the actual episode is supposed to deliver. The show should really invest in an excellent team, they can afford it. Early seasons were way better in that department.
@nothing_notions I’ve been saying it for a long time, if it weren’t for Eric and Melissa bringing their energy and chemistry to the scene, this kind of writing wouldn’t be enough. The show is lucky to have them.
@nothing_notions That would have been good, too. A nice callback to the small doses” that he promised. I think, at the core, the writing lacks a certain personal touch that makes it feel real. They use a lot of generic phrases that basically could be used for every character. Make it Chenford!
@ALuckhurst5433 Also, every person perceives things differently and that’s all valid. Calling out people for having a different opinion to state your own like it’s the only right one, is a little immature.
@ALuckhurst5433 Storytelling is different from real life, and it would have been more compelling - at least for me - if the writers had showcased an angle of his love for her that didn’t involve his healing process. They have been focusing on this since the breakup.
ngl I kinda ate with this one 😏 (the whole thing will be posted on tumblr later with a much better quality, also YES, i’m still paralleling their happy scenes with the breakup bc we’ve suffered enough so the reminders that it was worth it are necessary 🥹)
@lisschenfordx You know, we all love these characters and have ideas about them and how we’d like to see things, and not everyone will agree and that’s fine. But one opinion isn’t better than another when it comes to fiction.
