My thanks to Nathan Jones who I had a chat with today at our @CAFCofficial #FixturesBrunch reception for our business partners & hospitality clients. We discussed last season’s incredible finale at Wembley & promotion to the Championship & talked about the challenges next season will bring. I'm sad to hear that former @CAFCofficial goalkeeper, the hugely popular Charlie Wright has died at the age of 86, just a few weeks after his birthday.
As a kid watching #cafc on the huge East Terrace, Charlie was one of my favourite players & so it was a huge pleasure for me to get to meet him later in my career when I was hosting my radio show, #CharltonChat.
The show @CliveR39 & I did with Charlie is one of only 3 shows I've been able to save and, I have to say, it was one of the best we did.
So, as a tribute to Charlie, here's the full show we did with him on 2nd June 1991. RIP Charlie….

It’s getting ridiculous now….a report yesterday in @thetimes stated that #inhalers shouldn’t now be prescribed to #asthmatic patients like me - as they’re apparently harmful to the planet! What total nonsense….sometimes I feel like I’m living in a permanent ‘emperor’s new clothes’ existence….somebody surely has to say ‘you’ve got no clothes on mate’ soon re all this climate change mania!
