As for the referee, one of the worst refereeing performances in World Cup history. 13 fouls for Paraguay, but not a single yellow card.

France played against Paraguay, the referee, and FIFA. It was tough, but they still won with class. Allez Les Bleus. 🥳

I hope there will be sanctions against whoever is responsible for this fiasco.

We all knew Paraguay would resort to dirty tactics. That came as no surprise. What is surprising is that @FIFAWorldCup appointed a referee who was completely incapable of managing that kind of game.

Ilgiz Tantashev delivered an absolutely disgraceful performance: 3 yellow cards for France, and not a single one for the dirtiest team in the tournament.

It’s simply unbelievable. A referee who performs like that has no business officiating at a World Cup.

Le match France - Paraguay hier a révélé la face la plus laide du football.
Provocations permanentes, fautes répétées, simulations, agressions… les Paraguayens ont tout fait pour déstabiliser les Bleus.

L’arbitre a laissé filer beaucoup trop de choses, au point qu’on peut légitimement s’interroger sur sa "sévérité".

Dans ce contexte très hostile, je félicite les joueurs français d’avoir gardé un sang-froid remarquable et une vraie dignité.
J’ai joué au foot : tenir comme ça sous une telle pression, ce n’est pas donné à tout le monde. J’entends par là que personnellement je n’aurais jamais tenu ! 🤷😄
