Professor Julia Handley, consultant clinical scientist and radiotherapy physics international advisor @TheChristieNHS is in Nigeria visiting @amceafrica, alongside colleagues from @KCHManagement, to observe the centre's state of the art radiotherapy equipment in operation.
Doctors from the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplรกsicas, Peru, visited the Proton Beam Therapy Centre @TheChristieNHS, learning more about the PBT, paediatric oncology and supportive care services. The visit was funded by @IAEAnumun and facilitated by @UKinPeru.

Researchers at The Christie are launching a new study to help patients better tolerate cutting-edge immunotherapy treatments, such as CAR-T.
It's the first programme of its kind in the UK and the culmination of 30 years of global research.

The Christie is at the forefront of research into cancer of unknown primary (CUP).
Some of the team were recently in Berlin for the World CUP Alliance meeting.
They met with colleagues from across the globe to discuss how to progress research and understanding of CUP.

Dr Lip Lee, Consultant Clinical Oncologist @TheChristieNHS visited @amceafrica in Nigeria last week, joining colleagues from @KCHManagement for meetings and a tour of the oncology facilities. Thanks to everyone involved in facilitating this visit.
Several of our researchers were in Berlin this week for the @myESMO conference.
In total, they were involved in over 30 presentations and poster sessions covering everything from early-phase trial results to patient-reported outcomes.
