From the chamber: a 1975 advertisement for Will O’ Wisp. Hard to believe it’s been 50 years—and the lineup still blows us away. #MosatMonday#ChurchStudioArchive
56 years ago, a “42 Piece Communal Tour” called Mad Dogs & Englishmen happened with the “Rotating Rocker” and “Master of Space & Time.” #mosatmonday#leonrussell#joecocker#mosatmonday
Happy Birthday Stevie Nicks who turns 77 today! During the filming of Cameron Crowe's The Union, Stevie dropped in to the Village Studio where they were recording to meet Leon and to thank him... https://t.co/z6katEL916

Happy Birthday to our good friend, Joe Bonamassa. The most passionate, kind, guitar-obsessed guy we know. Thank you Joe for always paying us a visit when you're in town!

Did Bob Dylan confront John Lennon through song? Countless music historians (and Lennon himself) certainly thought so.

A mother's love is more beautiful than flowers. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms! Enjoy this photo of Leon Russell and his mother, Hester ❤️ 💐 #leonrussell#mothersday#churchstudioarchive

On this day in 1945 Bob Seger was born! Seger’s connection to Tulsa music goes back decades; he recorded and toured with several Tulsa musicians during his golden era in the ’70s, including drummers David Teegarden Sr. and Jamie Oldaker and Dickie Sims. 🎙️
Larry Hosford (1943–2016) was a singer-songwriter in the Americana and honky-tonk scenes, known for his humor, storytelling, and ties to California’s Central Coast. In the 1970s, he signed with Leon Russell’s Shelter Records and released A.K.A. Lorenzo ('75) and Cross Words ('76)
Carney Fest, our annual festival, draws its name from Leon Russell's third solo 1972 album, "Carney." Billboard called it a "slightly off-beat surprise" and showed the parallels between Leon's life and a carnival. We found "Carney Fest" to be the perfect Tulsa tribute to Leon.
We’re incredibly proud of our dynamic audio engineer duo, Mike Prado and Gary Laney. They do a fantastic job with our sessions, concerts, and training our students.
Mike has worked with Trent Reznor and others, while Gary won a Grammy with Trisha Yearwood ❤️
Our Studio has been full with so many incredible musicians this year with over 75 sessions! Music is alive and well in Tulsa! Thank you to all of you out there supporting us. ❤️
It's Eric Clapton's 80th orbit around the sun and we wish him a very Happy Birthday! Do you know what this 1975 photo taken at the Tulsa jail by John Southern and this stained glass in the belfry have in common? If you know, you know 😳 #TheChurchStudio#EricClapton#OnThisDay
