@MATHnBASKETBALL@iFinkiKnowBall@bomani_jones First time it ever was broached was before Game 1 of the East Finals when the Bulls had only won 2 rings and were weeks away from eventually getting the 3 peat.
At the time, it was just a little discussion on Showtime. Nothing like today.
@seanmohen@MikeLupica So this operates under an idea the roster isn’t really a problem at all.
Do the players not have high baseball IQ because of Boone? Or, is the GM bringing in low IQ baseball players?
Fans seem to think the roster is underachieving. It’s not. They are simply not good enough.
@JonAlba I was there that night. The loudest cheer of the night was when Nick Swisher drew a walk.
Yankees weren’t lifeless. Cliff Lee took the life from them. It was why not trading for him that summer cost them back to back titles.
@JoezMcfLy@rubbertoe2001 Yankees doing this on Zoom allows them to control the environment and shut down any follow up questions reporters may have.
It allows them to obfuscate/filibuster a question and move on to the next person who won’t follow up because they want their own question answered.
@KawirWir@AaronBlakeLail@benbbaldwin So in other words, we’ve gone from “all coaches lie” to “well, when they say what I may agree with, then it’s the truth.” Got it.
