“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump."
-Former VP Dick Cheney
@CNN@MSNBC@maddow no on should mention Trump is their coverage of the debate tonight. You will be given is coverage he doesn't deserve, besides there needs to be a cost for not debating
@MSNBC@Lawrence@CNN@Morning_Joe you all are not asking the right question, how did Trump get the secret documents in the first place. He had to go thru protocol to get them, so how did no one know he had them who signed them out and didnt check that they were not turned in
and this is not substantial. Throwing money at a issue doesnt fix it. This will disproportionately stop minority 18-21 yr olds form getting guns, because they are the ones who get juvenile records. And it give them Republicans a win for doing nothing. Dems need to push
Parkland survivor and gun control activist @cameron_kasky tells me that he does not have faith that the US Senate can produce anything substantial on gun reform: "All of these hardening schools, all of these bipartisan solutions, they are excuses."
Cheer what, this is trash. Throwing money at a issue doesnt fix it. This will disproportionately stop minority 18-21 yr olds form getting guns, because they are the ones who get juvenile records. And it give them Republicans a win for doing nothing. Dems need to push for real.
This is a significant start. A journey of 1,000 miles must begin with a single step. This step wasn’t easy.
Let’s cheer the Senate on, save for later the hand-wringing over how much remains to be done, how sad it is that even this took so long, . . .

this is not action. Throwing money at a issue doesnt fix it. This will disproportionately stop minority 18-21 yr olds form getting guns, because they are the ones who get juvenile records. And it give them Republicans a win for doing nothing. Dems need to push for real.
monumental, ha its trash. Throwing money at a issue doesnt fix it. This will disproportionately stop minority 18-21 yr olds form getting guns, because they are the ones who get juvenile records. And it give them Republicans a win for doing nothing. Dems need to push for real.
I said it on my show this afternoon: the bipartisan framework the Senate has on guns is not bold, but it is monumental. It will make a difference and is an important step in the fight for change.
I hope the Senate truly does get the bill on the floor before the 4th of July.
a deal this is not deal, its weak at best. throwing money at a problem doesn't fix it. It will disproportionately affect black and brown 18-21 years old because they are the only ones who get juvenile records. Democrats give the republicans a win, they need to push back
(5,5) mission to reduce gun violence is. For my friends in the Senate who are still negotiating, I wish some of you could have been there yesterday. Please find the video of the event and then, find the courage to follow @ChrisMurphyCT and get a deal done NOW.
This framework for gun safety is weak at best. throwing money at a problem doesn't fix it. It will disproportionately black and brown 18-21 years old because they are the only ones who get juvenile records. Democrats give the republicans a win, they need push back for better.
Ten GOP senators have backed a bipartisan framework for a gun safety bill, released today by Senate negotiators — the number needed to overcome a filibuster https://t.co/17dshVOlI7
They will never do any serious gun legislation because they want to be able take on the cops and army when they try to stop them from doing what they want
