@vgdunkey This is like if Gex carjacked a sentient hot dog stand in Vice City, ran over Big Smoke while quoting Friends, then escaped in a blimp shaped like Danny DeVito’s head.
@Ah___Puch Clearly Hirez is scrambling to make money. No other logical reason to charge that amount for Text Color. Even worse is charging for an Emote Wheel / Emote Keybinds. That is a QOL feature not something that should be purchased. Reminds me of back when Cod had loadout DLC.
@Aztxck @killgoon It is unlikely the game will grow. Despite the added gods, aspects, and patches, the Steam player-count has been dropping 15-20% each consecutive week since the Open Beta launch. This will only increase due to the recent news and distaste for Hirez.
@TitanClumzy If I was a developer at Hirez I would be applying for jobs non-stop. Clearly tenure and hardwork holds no value at Hirez. Work crunch to bring the game into a good state for open beta. Then immediately get laid off with zero notice.
@innocentrabbit_ Is the matchmaking working properly in the non-conquest modes? I duoQ with a friend and we constantly are paired with teammates significantly worst than us. We almost never have teammates similarly skilled as us.
@isiahthesage How do Legacy names work when multiple platforms are linked? For reference, I was originally on Xbox and then switched to PC. My Xbox username is an OG name. My Smite 1 PC name has special characters (OG was taken). Any way to have my Smite 2 PC name be my Xbox?
@ChrisTDickson @Stxng__ @Bigds_death The timeline that they set is unrealistic and their development seems to be behind. Not to mention, first impressions really matter in 2024. The gaming landscape has changed. Hirez has launched multiple failed projects in the past and people are worried.
@ChrisTDickson @Stxng__ @Bigds_death Players are leaving the Smite IP as a whole. Banking on them all returning in a year is risky and not a good decision. Hirez should be hyping up Smite and doing everything they can to excite players in preparation for Smite 2. Instead they are boring the majority.
@Weak3n Smite 2 is at least a year from being in a polished & content-filled spot. Smite 1 is bleeding players at an alarming rate. Hirez decides that this is acceptable for a Mid-Season Patch. No SPL & a dead-ranked scene. Yet Hirez won't implement fun & exciting changes.
@Weak3n Players will simply leave the Smite IP all-together and will instead play other games. Banking on them all returning 12-18 months from now is risky.
@Weak3n Exactly. Smite 2 is likely a good 18 months away from being feature-rich. Smite 2 feels great, due to Unreal 5, but lacks content. Going back to Smite 1, which feels clunky and old, I not enjoyable. Smite 1 isn't receiving any new exciting content, outside of a few items.
