Mass Effect 5 is reportedly called “Universe” because it allows players to generate timelines based on choices from the original trilogy🚀

This is according to Technical Director Romain Toutain, who emphasized that everyone would experience the same story, but past and in-game choices would shape each player's journey to be very different, rather than one default journey for all.

Such an ambitious project that honors the legendary trilogy should never go to waste.

Updates on Final Fantasy franchise future coming from @nhamaguc from MisterMV stream🚀

✅Hamaguchi wishes the team would stick together for another project after FFVII: Revelation launches

✅Options for the future include Final Fantasy XVII, another remake series for another numbered title, or a new AAA IP

✅Hamaguchi believes future remakes should be handed to other teams

✅Creative Studio 1 is in charge of development of major AAA titles

✅Hamaguchi isn’t attached to a new Final Fantasy or a new IP, and emphasizes on attracting new audiences long term, despite the fact that Final Fantasy games like VII, VIII, IX and X are hugely popular (he’s likely referring to potential future remakes needing to win over new audiences rather than just selling based on existing ones)

What should come next in your opinion? What’s your dream FF remake or concept for FFXVII?😎

Mass Effect trilogy lead voice actors Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale (male and female Shepard) are both supporting #SaveMassEffect🚀

Cyberpunk 2077 soars with a new peak of over 162,000 concurrent players on Steam, following the release of Update 2.5🚀

What an achievement, and this is a 6 year old single player game, when games don’t even see half that number on their launch day😎

Elden Ring movie adaptation reportedly has a budget of over $200 million🚀

✅A24 is adapting the video game Elden Ring for a 2028 release with a record-breaking $200 million budget, far surpassing their previous $70 million high for Marty Supreme.

✅The studio spent three years secretly developing You Can See Everything, a documentary about Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim.

✅Following a surprise, phone-free premiere at Telluride, the documentary opened to $15 million domestically, marking the biggest box office debut for a non-music documentary since 2004's Fahrenheit 9/11.

✅Driven by massive cultural buzz and 3,000 sold-out showings, A24 plans to mount a Best Picture Academy Award campaign for the film, aiming for the first-ever documentary nomination in that category.

✅Now valued at $3.5 billion, A24's successful indie playbook and talent-magnet status have major studios aggressively mimicking their strategies to secure viral properties, even as A24 absorbs the occasional box-office flop.

Source: @WSJ

The IP is big enough to warrant a big budget, especially given how fantastical the world is, that it needs that much to make, and with Alex Garland involved and A24 producing, it’s quite exciting to see how they’re willing to adapt it, in terms of storytelling and lore handling, given the game didn’t have a straightforward narrative

Amidst major outrage over the shut down of BioWare and the cancellation of the next Mass Effect, a petition that manages gain more than 100,000 signatures in ~48 hours🚀

I endorse this petition and the movement to restore BioWare and saving the next Mass Effect.

Yesterday, we learned that Canadian politician Avi Lewis is calling for the government to aid and support keeping BioWare open, and go independent with their IPs.

Many are also calling for big entities like Microsoft to step and purchase BioWare and/or Mass Effect.

So let’s #SaveMassEffect!
Let’s support that and NO DISC 💿 NO BUY🫡

REPORT: NVIIDA is getting accused of artificially manufacturing the current gaming GPU shortage by prioritizing enterprise AI chip production and forcing tech giants to stockpile unused hardware🚀

✅NVIDIA is allegedly leveraging enterprise FOMO to force companies like Amazon and Microsoft into upfront orders for AI chips they lack the immediate power and data center infrastructure to operate.

✅By routing TSMC silicon wafer allocations away from consumer electronics to fulfill massive enterprise orders, Nvidia has starved the retail gaming market and kept prices artificially high.

✅This aggressive strategy allows Nvidia to immediately book record-breaking data center revenues and shift storage and depreciation burdens onto buyers, keeping earnings pristine.

✅Analysts warn this creates an unsustainable hardware bubble that could lead to a massive supply correction and oversupply crisis once hyperscalers hit their capital expenditure limits.

Source: aindustry analyst Ed Zitron, and a separate claim made by Bloomberg and Business Insider, via @RespawnF1rst

If this is true, it shows another example of the rampant greedy, manipulation and corruption within the industry, from NVIDIA orchestrating the memory crisis to Sony falsely manufacturing a narrative that physical media don’t sell, just so they can goad players into an all digital future with no ownership, and prices that can be raised on a whim and eventually tying you up to subscriptions where you fund their games forever.

It truly is disgusting at this point💿

RUMOR: Saber Interactive St. Petersburg (Space Marine 2) is reportedly working on an unannounced AAA First-Person Shooter🚀

✅Built in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) and is set within a “well-known universe”

✅Russian job listing for a Senior Narrative Designer reveals the game will feature PvPvE (Player vs. Player vs. Environment) multiplayer mechanics.

✅Highly suspected that this project is tied to a recent partnership between Saber Interactive and Hasbro to develop a game based on a major “tentpole IP”

✅YouTubers like RoboGamer1HD suggest this well-known universe could be Transformers, given the Hasbro partnership and Saber's proven success handling established sci-fi IPs

(Thanks to “Jasonvsfreddyvs” for the info)

Transformers would be quite an interesting choice of world, and a fitting one, for a studio that is highly regarded for handling Warhammer universe which involves gameplay in big mech suits, with impressive detail and intense action😎

This comes after reports regarding Gears of War E-Day costing $500 million to make and barely selling around 250K in its first few days, which is not good for game of such magnitude.

Which brings us back to the conversation of exclusivity vs. multi-platform vs. Game Pass, that the industry keeps going back and forth on the merits of each and the impact of each of them on game making and profitability.

Okay, hear me out…🚀

Either Capcom or Bloober Team should buy Dead Space IP, and make more remakes and new games.

They are the perfect candidates, since EA’s mediocre a** doesn’t wanna make games like these and focus on their god-awful shooters and sports games.

What do you think?😎
