🔴Hace aproximadamente un año, el cubano-alemán Juan Carlos Hernández Mora regresó a Cuba con la intención de invertir y rehacer su vida. Tras vivir más de una década en Alemania, se estableció en Trinidad, compró una vivienda y abrió un negocio turístico enfocado en visitantes extranjeros.

🔴Su situación cambió cuando fue arrestado en 2019 y condenado en 2020 a 12 años de prisión por proxenetismo, cohecho y fraude eléctrico, en un juicio a puertas cerradas que él considera injusto. Tras la sentencia, el Estado confiscó su propiedad y su familia fue reubicada, perdiendo así su inversión y estabilidad.

🔴Aunque fue liberado bajo condiciones en 2024, permanece con restricciones que le impiden salir de Cuba hasta 2030. Su caso se ha señalado como ejemplo de un patrón en el que emigrados que regresan a la isla terminan enfrentando procesos judiciales, pérdida de bienes y limitaciones de derechos.
