The cope for Wemby is crazy. He has generational PR.
His end of game performances so far this series have been awful.
The three in the corner in G1 was generationally bad. His last minute plays have been turnovers, missed shots, or air balls.
He’s young so it won’t define his career but we can call a spade a spade.
The Spurs are a +38 from the Free Throw line in their 3 wins. They have yet to win a game in this series where they didn’t receive at least 10 more free throws than the Thunder. OKC is +13 in their 3 wins giving the Spurs a +25 advantage from the line on the series overall.
The Spurs shoot 25 FT's to OKC's 12 and Twitter narrative is this game was called great. The Thunder shoot 6 more FT's and the reffing is abysmal. Funny how that works.
NEW ANGLE OF WHAT WEMBY TOLD THE SPURS PLAYERS:
“Hard fouls”
Can’t believe people like this guy, genuinely there is so much wrong with this, and it’s getting almost no attention because it doesn’t fit the narrative. If Lu Dort said this it would be front page news all around the world.
Every thunder player sat in that presser last game after getting belt and took questions. No excuses why he couldn’t do the same. All the yapping, shading, and bullshit that’s came out of his mouth this year pertaining OKC, and he sulks like a child when he loses.
I say this an OKC fan. The Thunder down two starters/their second and third best ball handlers really have no business pushing this series to 7 games, much less winning it. The Spurs won 62 and employ the best player in the world. What a win, what a series.
